"Is it worth my time to read: Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, in my Bible?"
I often hear people say, "I want to read through my bible but I get stuck on those books near the beginning about all those strange laws." Starting tonight and through the Month of March, we will look at some of those laws to try and understand what they tell us about God and what is important to Him.
If we are able to get a better idea of what is important to God, it will help us to know how to live in a way that pleases Him. We will approach our study from the assumption that although the Laws for Ancient Israel were not given for us to follow, they do reveal volumes about the God we want to love and serve, because He is the same God.
Join us for an hour of conversation in the bible, each Wednesday Evening starting tonight at 7:00 PM
Facts and Figures for the month of March. It’s time for our monthly report on “Facts and Figures.” Every month we share information on items of interest such as conversions, attendance and giving.
Here is the report for the month of March:
Conversions – 8 (Year to Date = 27)
The Church Board set a goal of 100 conversions in 2011, that is, we’re asking Jesus to use the men and women of FFC to lead 100 individuals to Him this year.
We are aware of 8 conversions during the month of March. These came through the AWANA Program (1)…the Archery Dinner (5) and our Revival and Renewal Services (2).
Keep on looking for opportunities to lead someone to Jesus. Remember, it takes an average of 30 encounters with genuine Believers before someone will make a decision to follow Jesus. Let’s do our part by walking with Jesus and be one of those 30 for every unbeliever we encounter.
Attendance:
Our average Sunday morning attendance for the month of March was 938. February’s average was 921 so we were 17 ahead of last month’s figure. Last March our average was 896, so we picked up 42 over March of last year.
Our goal for the year is to average 890 and we ended March with an average attendance (for the year) of 932, so we are 42 ahead of our goal.
Here is a weekly breakdown:
March 6: 972 (Last year = 991)
March 13: 910 (793)
March 20: 952 (852)
March 27: 919 (949)
Giving:
Our Spending Plan goal for 2011 is $1,005,004, which breaks down to $19,327 per week. At the end of March we were $3.294 ahead of our Spending Plan goal. Here’s the breakdown:
March 6th: $16,561 (-$3,356)
March 13th: $22,354 (-$329)
March 20th: $23,500 (+$3,844)
March 27th: $18,777 (+$3, 294)
Summary: March was a good month in many ways. A number of conversions, increasing attendance, strong giving. Thank you Jesus!
