Children's Musical

kings_dreams_schemes_bigEvery other year, Five Forks Church holds a week-long summer music camp for children who have just finished 1st through 6th grades. On Monday, the children are introduced to the musical that they will be performing; six days—and lots of practice—later, they perform the musical for the public.

This year's music camp was from June 20 to June 24, with final rehearsal on Saturday, June 25. More than 60 children and approximately two dozen teen and adult volunteers were at the church from 9:00am to 3:30pm each weekday doing crafts, playing games, and, of course, learning the songs and dialogue for the production. The children performed the musical, "Kings, Dreams & Schemes", on Sunday, June 26, during the 9:30am and 11:00am services.

The production was based on the story of Daniel's life while living as an exile in Babylon. Daniel lived and served during the reign of three kings—Nebuchadnezzer, Balshazzar, and Darius. The songs and script tell the story of how God used Daniel through the years.

You may watch the video of the performance below or contact the church office to obtain a DVD copy of the recording.
