“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty…

…who was, and is, and is to come.”
For our final song we go to the final book in God’s Word, the book of Revelation. This one is called “Revelation Song” and it’s based on Revelation chapters 4 and 5 which describes worship in heaven.   This became one of my favorite worship songs years ago and remains so to this day. You will recognize that some of the lyrics come directly out of these 2 chapters in the Revelation.   For example…
“From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder.” (4:5a)
“In the center, around the throne were four living creatures…Day and night they never stopped saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. (4:6b, 8b)
In a loud voice they sang: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” (5:12)
Thanks for taking me up on the application part of Sunday’s message. I believe that we have been able to do what I hoped we would do…worship Jesus with all of our hearts, and grow closer to Him in doing so.
