This Sunday – March 11th

1st Reminder: A Night of Worship. – This evening (Friday) in the Auditorium at 6:30.

2nd Reminder: Don’t forget to set your clocks an hour ahead Saturday night.

Looking ahead to this Sunday:

Time & Location: 9:30 & 11:00 Auditorium
Preacher: Pastor Ray
Sunday’s Sermon: Keeping Good Company
Scripture Text: Proverbs 13:20, Ruth 1
This Sunday Ray is going to have us think about the importance of the company that we keep and the role it plays in building our faith.  If you talk to people of great faith, you will frequently find that they have a friend or two or three who will encourage them and hold them accountable when necessary.   Most significantly, these friends play a role in our spiritual growth.  Ray will challenge us to think about the importance of the company we keep.

Time & Location: 8:00 Auditorium and 11:00 Chapel
Preacher: Pastor Brian
Sunday’s Sermon: Rejecting God’s Revealed Message
Scripture Text: Matthew 21:12-46
Why do smart people defend bad ideas?   Someone suggested that the problem with smart people is that they like to be right and will defend bad ideas to the death rather than admit they are wrong. This Sunday Brian will have us look at interaction that took place between Jesus and the religious leaders during the final week leading up to the Crucifixion.   We’ll be reading from Matthew 21 and see an example of smart people defending and holding onto a bad idea.
